Hey guys,

Does anyone know if The Cave is live on the Wii U eShop yet? I already have it on PC but I'd love to pick it up on the Wii U.

Yes it is $20. There is a free Demo of it too.

Thanks for the info mate. As I said, I already have it on PC so I might wait until it goes on sale. If only eShop would let you use PayPal - I have credit on there just waiting to be used :P

This game is awesome. However, if you don't like back tracking and working out medium level puzzles then maybe it's not for you. Either way, try the demo.

Yeah, well worth checking out the demo. Aside from the fact I enjoy my Wii U, it's the best version for consoles. The 360 version suffers from considerable slow down during gameplay.

Who are you taking on your first playthrough? I have the Knight, Time Traveller and Adventurer.

@Heller, I took Twins, Knight, Adventurer :) - Also I haven't noticed any framerate problems yet but I did notice some strange light effects while going indoors to outdoors while doing the princess / sword in the stone level lol.

Just played the demo and it seems like a game I could get into. It reminds me of Lost Vikings on the SNES. This is a game that requires some patients though because even the demo had me thinking for a bit so I could imagine what the rest of the game would be like.

What as in multiplayer mode? Didn't know there was one. The other people would probably get bored waiting for the next guy to get into position.
You know they could have added a little more to the demo, I wanted to get more of a "feel" for it :P

Not a lot, you just get to choose your 3 people then go into the cave and do like one little level. I guess it just gives you an idea of the whole switching between characters more than anything else.

Is it the level where you have to find the three items to actually enter The Cave attraction? If so that's a pretty basic level. The puzzle mechanics don't really change much, but they certainly become a lot more challenging.

Yep, that's the one, but I never actually found an item to take back to the dude. I tried giving him a hotdog, but he just said something about not being able to sell it.

Yeah I did that and I caught the monster, but then I couldn't see a way forward, it kinda came to a big open area, but if you jump it ends the demo and you have to start again.

Maybe that's just how the demo ends, which is pretty crappy. I really liked that game on the Wii U, not sure if I'll play it through a third time, but it was worth the money for me.

I went with The Knight, The Adventurer and The Time Traveller for my first run through. It was a lot of fun.

This sounds interesting and my type of game.

It would be great if someone could give a heads up if there's a sale on this!! It's just the my Wii U isn't always at my place.

Otherwise I'd just check the eshop everyday. :P
